Managers Workshop Summary – September 2016 (London)

The 3 Regional Coordinators; James Strate, Mary Maters and Julie Clements, had items to discuss based on information gathered through the store managers in their area.  They would like to set up a “Manager’s Support Team” to help any manager who is feeling that their store is in difficulty but also to help with ideas to increase spacing, design, sales etc.  This will be a team who is and would be ready and willing to step in and help.  A lot of the agenda had to do with day-to-day operations and how to handle them.  This will be addressed more fully at the Regional Meetings. 

James Strate had a presentation on Branding (new website), how to do it and how to get it.  His presentation will be uploaded to the manager’s site.  There were a few people in our workshop interested in how we start up a store.  This may be a very good idea for a following workshop.  We could have available in the room, store managers and store chairs who have the knowledge to help set up a successful SSVP thrift store.
