Thanks for Askingposted: May 2018 submitted by: a Cambridge Conference THANKS FOR ASKINGThis is a verse shared by a Cambridge Conference member and is given out when they visit our friends in need. Please feel free to hand this out when visiting your friends and families in need. On the back of the verse, Cambridge would list places in their community where people could turn to for additional assistance.
From time-to-time God asks a service of each of us. Sometimes we are to help. Sometimes we are to be the helped. Sometimes, to understand suffering, we must suffer. Sometimes we are to show compassion. Sometimes, shattered by life, we need compassion. Sometimes we need to pray … and to pray for others. Sometimes we need to be prayed for. Sometimes we pray by word, but best is done in deed. Were it not for those who serve as need, There would be no chance for all to grow in love. For both are equal in God’s eyes: The one who receives and the one who gives. Lift your head and smile with thanks, For either way you are serving God. And He is smiling in appreciation! What you receive is not from those who bring it. Rather, it is from what He has grown around you: From the communion of love that thinks You matter in a shining way! May God bless you with many a future time When you can serve what others truly need. Never doubt His love for you or withhold yours for Him. Best Practices |
