Treasurers Collaborative Group

There are many aspects to the Treasurer role that are 'back office' functions that are hidden from the external perspective, but are very important in maintaining a smooth running SSVP conference/council. Some SSVP conferences are registered charities with higher reporting requirements, while other SSVP conferences report through the registration number of the local parish. Creating a Treasurers Collaborative Group was developed to bring Treasurers together to share Best Practices. Topics of discussion include Financial reporting, Bookkeeping, Banking, Charitable returns, Charitable donation receipts, Budgets and much more. Every PC is encouraged to have their Treasurers create a Collaborative Group within their PC. A template to assist in organization and identify discussion topics has been created by the Halton region.
